Lyncourt, NY – Four people have been charged with invading a Lyncourt home in broad daylight and robbing a man at gunpoint.
The attack began around 2 p.m. on February 17 after the accused thieves – two teenagers and two men – broke into the home of a 20-year-old man on Medford Road, the staff sergeant said. Jon Seeber, spokesperson for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. The quartet hit the man’s face with the butt of a shotgun and their fists, he said, before stealing marijuana and money.
The injured man prevented one of his attackers from fleeing the scene, Seeber said. MPs arrested the 17-year-old boy from Syracuse, who knew the victim, on Medford Road.
The 20-year-old victim suffered minor injuries, Seeber said, and was treated at the scene.
After a week of investigation, the deputies arrested the three other suspects:
- Trey Rosa-Cooper, 22, from Lyncourt
- Vicente Martinez, 19, from Syracuse
- A 17 year old boy from Syracuse
The four suspects were charged with first degree theft, first degree burglary and second degree assault, all felonies. The names of the two 17-year-olds were not disclosed.
Rosa-Cooper is at the Onondaga County Justice Center instead of $ 50,000 in cash or a $ 100,000 bond. Martinez is being held without bail for violation of his parole.
